How to install the Kastle Presence App for Android

1. Open the Play Store on your Android device
|
|
|
2. Search for ‘Kastle Presence’ in the App Store and Download the Kastle Presence App
|
|
|
3. Once the Kastle Presence Application has finished downloading, Open the Kastle Presence App
|
|
|
4. Type your Company Email Address and Mobile Number, and Tap ‘Continue’
|
|
|
5. In the Kastle Presence Application, Enter the Temporary PIN provided to your company email and Click ‘Continue’
|
|
|
6. Refer to your company email address for a 6-digit temporary PIN from Kastle
|
|
|
7. When prompted to ‘Use this Device’ in the Kastle Presence App, Click ‘Yes’
|
|
|
8. Create a New PIN for the Kastle Presence App, Confirm the New PIN, and Click ‘Continue’
|
|
|
9. On the Kastle Presence Welcome Screen, Click ‘Start’
|
|
|
10. You will get a prompt to allow Bluetooth on your device if your Bluetooth is not on. Make sure you allow this feature for Kastle Presence to work correctly.

11. To turn Bluetooth on your Android device, go to your settings and select the “Bluetooth” option. Make sure the Bluetooth option is turned on.

12. You will need to enable your NFC on your Android device. You can find this in your settings. Refer to your phone model to find the NFC option.
|
|
|
13. When prompted to use your “location” you will need to make sure is set to always allow.
|
|
|
14. If your Android supports Physical Activity, please allow access. This will allow your phone to conserve battery.
|
|
|
15. You may also allow access to your “phone” This will allow the app to make a call to an administrator if unable to unlock the doors.
|
|
|
16. Lastly, allow Kastle Presence to send notifications to your phone.

How To Set the Required Android App Settings for the Kastle Presence App
|
17. On your Android device, Open ‘Settings’
|
|
|
18. Within the Android settings, select “Apps”
|
|
|
19. Select the manage apps option.
|
|
|
20. In the Search Field of the Manage apps, Type ‘Presence’ or ‘KastlePresence’ and Tap the Kastle Presence App
|
 
|
|
21. Within the “Presence App Info” select the App Permissions.
|
|
|
22. Confirm that the Kastle Presence App has the following settings Applied
|
|
|
A. Location set to Allowed all the time
|
|
|
B. Nearby Devices set to ON
|
|
|
C. Phone set to ON
|
|
|
D. Physical Activity set to ON
|
|
